Crown Couriers Coronavirus Update

As we move closer to the proposed date for phase two of relaxing lockdown restrictions, business owners and staff are contemplating the transition into a ‘new normal’ way of working, given the unprecedented nature of the situation we find ourselves in.

Whilst many have yet to return to the workplace, at Crown Couriers we’ve been operating throughout lockdown on a reduced workforce, ensuring that only key workers that are essential to our vital delivery service, remain in the office.

The safety and protection of Crown personnel has been a key concern throughout. And as more businesses begin to re-open, we thank our staff for their compliance in social distancing and personal hygiene measures, which has enabled us to bring back further staff into our control centre to support our customers.

Despite the challenges of recent weeks, we’ve maintained our fast response times and ability to provide vehicles at short-notice, due to the resilience and agility of our teams and drivers. This has meant we were able to offer additional support to the healthcare sector and other essential services as required.

As we now start to uncover what our ‘new normal’ might look like, it’s clear that we can all take the opportunity to find better ways to operate in order for businesses to recover and thrive in the future. For us, that means forging progressive partnerships with businesses new and existing that are looking to improve their supply chain to be the ‘best in class’.

How can our service help your business?

  • Run your own Fleet?

Most businesses feel the added strain of annual leave and sickness within their workforce. When your fleet is reduced or you are experiencing a busy period, the reduction in capacity could impact the service you deliver to your customers.

With over 800 experienced drivers based across the UK, we can provide vehicles at short notice that are reliable and responsive. Our customer service team are available 24/365 and will quickly arrange for a vehicle to respond to ad hoc collection and delivery requests within the hour.

  • Increased Volume?

As the volume of sales increases significantly through online channels, we’re able to support the retail supply chain by utilising vans to extend cut-off times for collections. Having a wider collection window could also benefit manufacturers struggling because of staggering shifts and social distancing measures.

If you need a trusted logistical supplier that can provide last-minute, same day delivery support, around the clock, Crown Couriers will provide experienced drivers that can replicate the same high standard of service you offer to your customers. At this challenging time, we want to thank our customers for their continued business and welcome new enquiries from businesses we can support now and going forward.
